Patents are given away to inventions that are new, that have inventive level and are industrially applicable. A registration for a patent in Bulgaria needs to be done through petition to the Bulgarian Patent office, according to the regulation about forming of applications for patents, approved by the chairman of Patent office in Bulgaria № 220/09.08.2002
